The activities in this unit were originally designed to be a collaborative project between an elementary school media specialist and a 2nd grade or 3rd grade classroom teacher. The activities are meant to be done in the classroom , in th emedia center, and/or in the computer lab. There is also a portion to be done at home with the student's family.
The activities, though, can be easily modified to address a younger or older audience. in addtion a classroom teacher or media specialist could also choose to take on this project on his or her own. Finally a parent could work on many of these activities with a child at home.
